On Saturday sometime during Megan's soccer game something bit Maddy. What started off as a bug bite kept getting bigger and bigger. By Saturday night it was huge and by Sunday it was REALLY big and red. We had gone to a mission farewell and Aunt Jill (a nurse) took one look at Maddy's arm and said she had to get right in to the doctor. Apparently kids can end up on IVs and in the hospital from bites like this. So right after the farewell we ran Maddy over to Urgent Care. Sure enough- she needed to be treated...with a big shot and 2 different antibiotics.

The doctor outlined the size of her swollen arm- so we could make sure it was going down and not spreading. Luckily, today, it's tons better and pretty much gone.

Glad she's okay. We've been to the Dr.'s 2x with Addie for bug bites . . . insta care in Maine and regular Dr. here. Both times they drew the lines all over and told us it looks like a mosquito bites or something that had a reaction. Awesome use of time and money . . . oh well. Better safe then sorry. 2 big shots, that's more serious though.
