Our Maddie is so brave- only 10 years old and trying escargot. Tonight was mom's first time to try it as well. It's loaded with butter and seasoning, feels kind of like mushrooms or calamari, but getting past the idea that you are eating a snail...I couldn't do it. I took a bite and had to be done. Maddie did much better than mom. She is always so willing to try new and interesting dishes. She'll even eat squid with her cousin- the kinds at Chinese restaurants that have heads- yuck, but way to go Maddie :)
